The logo is dynamic and exciting while still tying back to Norway. A geometric tree is used for the main logo. The trees are as much a part of the mountain as the ski slopes and mountain itself. The tree is further broken up into triangles to embody the excitement of competing forms.
People who go to the X Games are always on the go and love the thrill of adventure. When folded, the map in four inches by eight inches, which is small enough to fit in a man’s back pocket or a woman’s purse. The triangles in the logo are scattered throughout the front page to unify the design.
When the user first opens the map, the event schedule is shown on the left panel and the transport map is on the right panel. There are three different directions printed to allow for different options.
The campus map is printed on one fully open side of the map to allow for all the needed information to be printed. The campus map shows the Hafjell ski center, the lodge, parking lot, cabin villages and the event itself. The campus map is an aerial view and is oriented horizontally. Icons are made for the ski slopestyle, snow-board slopestyle, ski big air,snow-board big air and the concert stage. The icons are geometric, exciting and to encompass the ambiance of the event. Icons for bathrooms, food and health tent are included in the design. The sub-icons are a bright blue so users can easily find them.
